President Mahama Commended for dissolving the National Hajj Committee

Yendi based Chief Executive Officer of Dagomba Boy Hajj Agency, Alhaji Inusah Amadu Dagomba Boy has commended President John Mahama for dissolving the National Hajj Committee.

Until a substantive committee is constituted, President Mahama in consultation with the office of the National Chief Imam dissolved the National Hajj Committee and subsequently appointed Hon. Ibrahim Abdul Rauf Tanko, a former Member of Parliament for Yagaba-Kubori in the Northern Region to manage the activities of the Hajj Committee.

Alhaji Alhassan Bini’s dissolved National Hajj Committee was bedeviled with numerous challenges which led to very strong pressure and criticisms from hundreds of prospective Pilgrims who could not make it to the holy land of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Alhaji Inusah Dagomba Boy in an interview welcomed government’s decision and indicated that it was long overdue.

He expected the composition of the next National Hajj Committee to be devoid of politics.

He also called on the leadership of the National Association of Hajj Agencies to reposition itself to make future Hajj activities trouble free.
