Mahama will move to Flagstaff House – Fritz Baffour

President John Mahama will move to the Flagstaff House before the first quarter of the year according to Information Minister Fritz Baffour.

The President indicated his intention, late last year, to move the seat of government from the Osu Castle to the Flagstaff House built by former President Kufuor.

The Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur is already working there.

Information Minister Fritz Baffour in an interview with XYZ News said the President is keen on moving to the Flagstaff House ones renovation works at the place are completed.

“It involves the administrator of the Presidential estate and it also involves national security and other agencies of government.

“What I can tell you now is that the President is willing to move there as soon as the place is ready and I don’t expect it to be too long,” Mr Baffour said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which is occupying a portion of the Flagstaff House is expected to move out in the next three months.
