Parliament to select next speaker

Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament, Rashid Pelpuo, says there has been some meetings to discuss issues surrounding the announcement of new leadership for the sixth Parliament.

He told GBC’s Radio Ghana that by the end of today, the House is likely to come out with someone who will be the next Speaker of Parliament.

The fifth Parliament, he noted was very successful.

Meanwhile, NPP members in Parliament have retain Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu as the Minority Leader in parliament.

Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame.

He will be assisted by the MP for Bimbila, Dominic Nitinul.

Speaking on our Current Affairs Programme, ‘Behind the News’, the newly elected Deputy Minority Leader for Bimbila, Dominic Nitinul says he is ready to learn from his predecessors and put up his best in his new position.
