Make 2013 year of unity and reconciliation- Yendi MP elect

The Member of Parliament elect for Yendi constituency has asked the people of Dagbon to consider 2013 as a year of peace and reconciliation.

Alhaji Mohammed Habib Tijani insists unity and reconciliation should be the overriding principles of moving the Dagbon State forward.

“Everybody is fed up with conflict and all of us should be working towards maintaining peace and reconciliation and I always maintain that we need good leadership in Dagbon.”

Speaking in an interview, he said the feud between the Abudus and Andanis should be a thing of the past.

“I am calling on all the people of Dagbon particularly the people of my constituency both the Abudus and Andanis to act as Ambassadors of peace because without peace there cannot be development.”

Alhaji Tijani who was a former Municipal Chief Executive for Yendi under the erstwhile NPP administration challenged the elderly in Dagbon to inculcate good morals in the youth.

Outlining his vision for the Yendi constituency, Alhaji Tijani mentioned the expansion of education infrastructure, agriculture, health and quality water delivery among others.
