President at ECOWAS Summit

THE Summit of ECOWAS Heads of State on New Partners for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) ended at Yamoussoukro in Cote d’Ivoire last Friday.

President J.A. Kufuor was among the Heads of State and Government who attended the summit .

Among reports adopted at the summit were the implementation of NEPAD, a harmonised trade liberalisation scheme, administration and financial matters, and regional peace and security.

Ghana’s delegation included Mr Hackman Owusu Agyemang, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Major (rtd) Courage Quashigah, Minister of Agriculture, Mr D.K. Osei, Secretary to the President, and Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, Minister of Economic Planning and Regional Integration
