Alhaji Naizer Toure Mahama, Member of Parliament (MP) elect for East- Ayawaso, has commended the people of Nima for the confidence they have reposed in him by voting massively for him.
He said: “I accept the responsibility with humility and will like to commend the people of Nima and all the constituents for the confidence they have reposed in me.”
Alhaji Mahama made the commendation through the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Accra on Saturday.
He said: “We must celebrate together as one people from one family and refrain from anything that will derail the peace and unity we have enjoyed in the constituency over the years”.
Alhaji Mahama said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Government under President John Dramani Mahama will work tirelessly to bridge the developmental gap between the Zongos and other communities in the country.
He appealed to opinion leaders, including Imams and pastors to pray for peace, unity and development.
