Kojo Sebo, a 38-year-old fisherman who lives at King Aggrey Street in Cape Coast was on Wednesday arraigned before a Cape Coast Circuit Court for stabbing one Mr. Abdul Razak, also a fisherman.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing harm and was remanded in police custody until Friday, January 4, 2013.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Christiana Sampong, told the court presided over by Mrs. Florence Kai Otu that Razak, 40, resides at King Aggrey Street in Cape Coast and that on the morning of December 7, Razak met Sebo at the beach near the Cape Coast Castle.
She said, Razak started making fun of Sebo that he had grown lean but Sebo did not take kindly to the joke and this resulted in a fight which was immediately separated by people around.
According to Inspector Sampong, Razak was leaving the scene after the incident but unknown to him, he was being followed by Sebo who stabbed him in the back of the neck and shoulder with a knife.
Inspector Sampong said Razak quickly reported to the police and he was given a medical report form to go to the hospital. The prosecutor added that not long afterwards, Sebo also surfaced at the police to also lodge a complaint but was remanded for interrogation.
