Alhaji Alhassan Benne, Chairman of National Hajj Committee (NHC) on Monday congratulated President John Dramani Mahama for being elected as President.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Accra, Alhaji Benne also congratulated supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), especially the Muslim Ummah for their unflinching support for successful, peaceful and victorious elections.
“By improving the Hajj expedition in the past three years especially the 2012 pilgrimage, the NHC and the entire Muslims community are very grateful to President Mahama for his contribution towards the betterment of the Muslim Ummah,” he said.
He appealed to religious bodies to continue to pray for unity, stability and development of the nation.
Alhaji Benne on behalf of the NHC wish President Mahama well in all his endeavours, adding: “Accept our best wishes for your good health and personal well-being for a successful tenure as President of the Republic of Ghana.”
