Commonwealth Secretary-General to Visit Accra

Mr. Donald McKinnon, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, would pay a three-day official visit to Ghana from May 9 to 11.

A release from the Commonwealth Secretariat in London said Mr McKinnon would hold discussions with President J.A. Kufuor and other government officials.

Mr McKinnon would also call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in Kumasi.

It said the Secretary-General would also meet, Mr Peter Ala Adejetey, Speaker of Parliament, leading Parliamentarians, including Mr. Alban Babgin, the

Minority Leader as well as representatives of civil society.

Mr. McKinnon would also visit the University of Ghana, Legon to address the students on the Commonwealth.
