BNI boss returning?

THE DIRECTOR OF Bureau of National Investigation (BNI), Mr. Ellis Owusu Fordwuor may be on his way back to take his job barely days before another veteran of the Security Services, Mr. Amofa had barely taken his seat at his very recent posting to Takoradi as the Regional Police Commander.

He joined the then Special Branch in Sekondi in 1972 after a three month teaching stint at Fijai Secondary School.

A devastating expose on the reasons for Mr. Fordwuor’s resignation bannered in yesterday’s edition of The Daily Graphic with admirable clarity and detail, exposing the utterly disgraceful conduct of the Minister of National Security.

Mr. Fordwuor was already in a useful legal practice and living well when he heeded the national call to serve his country and replaced Mr. J.B. Afare, the former deputy to intelligence supreme Mr. K.B. Quantson at the Narcotics Control Board.

Afare had, unofficially attributed reasons for his resignation to General Hamidu, and was asked to take a lowly job as a passport officer at the London High Commission.

Chronicle intelligence spotted him with officials of the security in Accra yesterday and indications were that he was been importuned to take back his job.
