Catherine Afeku loses Evalue-Gwira Constituency

Madam Catherine Afeku, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Evalue-Gwira Constituency has lost the seat.

She polled 13,157 votes as against 15,359 votes garnered by the National Democratic Congress’s Kweku Tanikyi Kessie.

The People’s National Convention candidate, John Kofi Cobbina polled 107 votes whist the Convention People’s Party candidate, Ackah Quarm also polled 381 votes.

A total of 29,506 were cast out of which 29,004 were valid with 506 rejected ballots.

In the presidential contest, the NDC polled16,202 ,GCPP 109, NPP 12,030, PPP 139, UFP 34, PNC 64, CPP 208 and the independent candidate garnered 51 votes.

A total of 29,666 votes cast out of which 28,837 were valid with 829 rejected ballots.
