Ablekuma West: Ursula & Victoria claim to be winning

Aspiring Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu claims to have won the seat in her constituency decisively.

She said though polls haven’t closed in that constituency she was sure of a win because available results indicated she was in a commanding lead.

“I have won Ablekuma West decisively…” an elated Ursula told Joy New’s Sampson Lardi Ayenini on Election Headquarters Friday night.

She was convinced that the votes she garnered in that constituency will push her flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to emerge winner of the presidential elections.

Meanwhile her strongest contender Victoria Hammah also claims to be winning. She said available results indicate she is in lead.

“Am so excited about it, we are expecting a gargantuan victory,” she told Joy News’ Election Headquarters. Victoria added that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win both parliamentary and presidential votes.

Voting is, however, expected to continue in some constituencies Saturday after the breakdown of verification machines.
