Majority of electorates in Ho likely to vote by mid-day

Indications are that majority of eligible voters in the Ho Township would have cast their ballots by mid-day today.

This is because almost all the polling stations were inundated by voters well ahead of the starting time of 0700 hours, majority arriving around dawn.

The streets in the regional capital have been deserted of vehicles and human traffic unusual of the normal early morning rush hour.

Journalists were among the first to vote at the polling stations because they could not partake in the special voting as used to be the case.

Similar preferences were given to the elderly, pregnant women and the handicapped.

The processes were fluid, taking between two and three minutes per voter. “I am impressed about what I am seeing. The verification machine will make this election the most transparent so far in the fourth republic,” Yvonne Harlley, a voter at the Ho SSNIT Flats polling station told the GNA.
