I will hold no grudge- Prez Mahama tells detractors

President John Dramani Mahama continues to show commitment towards the Kumasi Peace Declaration when he told a rally of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters that he will not hold grudge against any of his political opponents who have maligned him.

He said he will stretch a hand of peace to any of the political players who in the name of winning power have said all manner of intemperate words against him.

President Mahama, who was speaking at Adentan yesterday on the third day of his Greater Accra campaign which took him to Dodowa, Danfa Madina and other constituencies, noted that he does not indulge in dirty politics, but was ready to make peace with all those who for the sake of winning power have embarked on vilification against his position.

The President revealed that his opponents are standing at junctions distributing leaflets which contain lies just to destroy his personality and to make him look bad in the eyes of Ghanaians.

Mr Mahama, who said he was trained by the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills to be tolerant and run a clean political profession, assured his supporters that he will not be part of any dirty politics but if others want to get into the gutter they can do so to rule there.

He advised those distributing the leaflets to desist from the act, saying it will not save them because it is God who chooses a leader.

He urged all the players in the political game to put all the elections behind them irrespective of the outcome on Friday because he is prepared to accept the outcome.

He introduced the Parliamentary candidate for the Adentan Constituency, Mr Ashie Moore, and called on the constituents to vote for him to continue from where his predecessor left off.
