Retaining NDC is appreciation to Mills -Veep

Retaining National Democratic Congress (NDC) at next Friday’s general poll would be a gratitude to the late President John Evans Atta Mills for his vision for Ghana, Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has said.

He said the unfinished work of the late President should be completed and only a vote for the NDC would guarantee continuation from where he left off. Vice President Amissah-Arthur made the call when he addressed the chiefs and people at Agona Odoben and Bremang Kuntanase, on the last leg of a campaign tour in the few days to Election 2012.

Referring to “Nsawabo” the Ghanaian custom of supporting and contributing to the funeral of a dear departed one, Vice President Amissah-Arthur said the electorate would be showing their love for the late Ghanaian leader if they vote massively for a first round resounding victory for the NDC.

A first round victory, he said, would come when the voters discard apathy and get to the polling stations on time and cast their votes for John Mahama, who is Number One on the ballot paper.

The Vice President urged the electorate to do away with what he described as lies and propaganda of opponents of the NDC. He said the NDC is development oriented, and asked the electorate to vote the party into power.

Mrs Ama Benyiwa-Doe, Central Regional Minister described the Mahama-Amissah-Arthur team as complete.
