I don’t have time to threaten UG student – Agyarko

The main opposition party’s Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon has denied threatening to kill a female student of the University of Ghana for enquiring from him, at a debate, if he indeed had three wives as rumored in certain circles.

Emmanuel Agyarko, according to the Republic Newspaper, nearly attacked the student live on set for asking that question.

He has allegedly flooded the student’s mobile phone with death threats ever since the Metro TV debate moderated by Paul Adom Otchere on Friday.

The former Executive Secretary of the Food and Drugs Board however in an interview with XYZ News said the threat claims and polygamy allegations are false.

“I am a responsible citizen of this country, if somebody has received any threats…I think what they need to do is to find out, to find out who has sent out a text message.

“They can use technology to find out who has called her to threaten her or has sent a threatening text message…I am too noble a person to be involved in something like this” Mr. Agyarko said.

However, one of his co-debators, William Dowokpor of the PPP told XYZ News that he only saw Emmanuel Agyarko snap at the lady for asking that question.

“I saw the lady ask the question and it was on TV and everybody saw the way the NPP man snapped but he assaulting her, I did not witness that because I was having my turn”.
