Confirmed: Aliu Mahama to be buried in Tamale

It has been confirmed that former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama will be flown to his hometown and will be buried in Tamale.

Spokesperson of the family Alhaji Gomda told journalists in Accra Saturday that elders of the family have agreed with government to bury Aliu Mahama in Tamale.

Government in an earlier statement had indicated that the former vice president will buried in Accra at the Asomdwee Park.

Alhaji Aliu Mahama died Friday at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
