Agri-Business Department of VVU supply fresh soy-milk

The Agri-Business Department of the Techiman Campus of Valley View University (VVU) has started supplying fresh soy-milk to children in some educational institutions in the area.

They include Nkwaeso Methodist School, Agosa Seventh-Day-Adventist School, Zongo Ameyaw Local Authority School.

Professor J.K. Osei, Rector of Techiman VVU Campus, said the supply was a jointly undertaken by the university, Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA) Ghana, and ADRA International.

He was speaking at the third matriculation of the university, where 1,462 students were admitted to pursue courses in Education, Science, Business, Accounting and Agri-Business.

Prof. Dr Daniel Buor, Vice Chancellor of the VVU, said the Techiman Campus would be made semi-autonomous by 2015.

Oseadeeyo Asa Akompanin, Kyidomhene, and Krobohene of Techiman Traditional Area, appealed to the university to engage private food vendors in the provision of meals for the students.

He called for private partnership in the provision of accommodation for students to reduce the high rent charges.
