Nana Addo ‘lied’ on cost of 6 unit classroom block – Ocran

Minister of Education, Lee Ocran has taken a swipe at NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo over his recent comment on cost of constructing a 6 unit classroom block by the NDC.

The NPP’s Presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo during the IEA Presidential debate said, the ministry is currently constructing a 6 unit classroom block at a cut-throat cost of 400,000 Ghana cedis; a statement the president urgently refuted.

Addressing the media on Monday, Education Minister Lee Ocran said such figures are mere fabrications.

Mr. Ocran rather accused the NPP of constructing the same classroom blocks at a higher cost during their tenure.

He challenged Nana Addo to rather explain to Ghanaians the astronomical increase in the cost of classroom blocks during the NPP tenure.

“I will humbly ask Mr. Akufo-Addo to take me to the place where he saw the 400,000 classroom block, I will pay his transport” Hon. Lee Ocran said.
