NDC, NPP, PNC and CPP ready to battle each other in Presidential debate

All four Presidential candidates who are expected to take part in tonight’s presidential debate are gearing up for the event.

President Mahama of the ruling NDC, Nana Akufo Addo of the main opposition NPP as well as the PNC’s Hassan Ayariga and the CPP’s Dr. Abu Sakara are said to be in high spirit ahead of the debate.

Political analysts have expressed their thoughts on the significance of the debate.

President Mahama becomes the first sitting president to partake in the debate which is scheduled for this evening in the Northern Regional capital of Tamale.

Speaking to the media on arrival of the president in Tamale on Monday, Presidential spokesperson John Jinapor said the president is very much expectant of the attacks and has psyched himself for them.

Mr. Jinapor said President Mahama will take the opportunity to update Ghanaians on how far his government has come with the economy.

The wife of the Presidential Candidate of the Convention People’s Party, Mrs Mary Lilly Kafela Sakara Foster, has stated that her husband Dr Abu Sakara will outshine the three other Presidential Candidates in the IEA Presidential debate.

NPP General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has also stated that Nana Addo stands tall amongst the other three Presidential candidates and is looking forward to letting Ghanaians know what he has for them.

PNC General Secretary Bernard Monah has stated that their candidate, Hassan Ayariga will perform much better than he did at the IEA’s Presidential evening encounter.
