NDC broke my heart – Teye Nyaunu

The Member of Parliament for lower Manya Krobo, Michael Teye Nyaunu says his filing as an Independent candidate was due to his disappointment in the NDC.

Mr. Nyaunu lost the NDC primaries to the Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Ebenezer Okletey Terlarbi and alleged that the process was not fair.

In an interview with XYZ News, the outspoken MP said even though the NDC broke his heart, he still loves the party.

“NDC is a party that I love and I gave my heart to it until they tried to disappoint me” Mr. Nyaunu said.

He added that “the values and the things that attracted me into that organization has been missing and that is what I have been complaining about. My love is broken”.

Mr. Nyaunu who officially filed his nomination at the Electoral Commission as an Independent candidate in the upcoming elections on Thursday said he is confident that he would retain his seat.

“Hopefully I am going to retain my seat; it is very possible I am going to win”.
