Ajumako Enyan Essiam constituency elects new parliamentary candidate

The Ajumako Enyan Essiam (AEED) constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has elected Mr. Festus Beedu Turkson, 42, as its parliamentary candidate.

Mr. Turkson, a Senior Accounts Officer of the Ghana Health Services, polled 423 votes to beat the other contestant, Mr. John Kobena Amissah, who had 108 votes.

Mr. Turkson replaces the late Ato Quainoo who died on September 25.

He expressed gratitude to party members and told them “we have only 53 days to work hard to capture the seat from the ruling NDC so get united and move forward for victory.”

Mr. Danquah Smith, the Central Regional Chairman of the party, appealed to party members nationwide to unite and peacefully campaign to ensure success come December 7.
