Reject Nana Akufo Addo and his lies -Tema East NDC

The Tema East Branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on Ghanaians to reject Nana Akufo Addo, Flag Bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as they have not been truthful to Ghanaians.

“The NPP government, when in power, said it was going for an IFC loan and the transaction ended up in a hair dressing saloon.”

A release signed by Mr Stephen Ashitey Adjei, Executive Member of the Tema East Branch of the NDC, said Nana Akufo Addo “lied to Ghanaians in 2001 to register under the scorching sun for jobs and it turned out to be an April Fool exercise”.

It said Nana Akufo Addo again lied to Ghanaians that under his leadership, there would be no payment of judgment debt but he secretly wrote a letter to the government, advocating for the payment of a judgment debt to others.

“Instead of apologizing to Ghanaians, he is going round the country promising jobs and free Senior High School education because he wants to be president,” it said.

The release said Nana Akufo Addo should not think that he could “lie to Ghanaians once more with the promise of free Senior High School education” and it was unfortunate that the NPP flag bearer had developed the habit of lying to Ghanaians.

Mr Adjei, also known as “Moshake”, pleaded with government to use the forecourt of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly the venue for President Mahama’s swearing-in ceremony after the NDC’s one touch victory in December.
