Ghana to attain middle income status in 10 years – Nduom

The flagbearer of the Progressive People’s Party, Dr. Papa Kwasi Nduom says Ghana could become a high middle income nation in ten years.

Dr. Nduom made the projections at a forum in Accra Tuesday evening where he reiterated PPP’s policies which he said would propel the country to the envisaged middle income status.

According to Dr. Nduom, a PPP government will create a modernized society of inclusiveness and reduce poverty which would lead to attaining the high income level so desired.

“In ten years and with science and technology as the cornerstone, this country will become a higher level middle income country” Dr Nduom said.

He added that “this society will ensure the implementation of existing laws intended to make life profitable for persons living with disability. The society we will create will modernize agriculture and provide a market to sustain our farmers and fishermen”.

Dr. Nduom also cautioned the two main political parties – NDC and NPP that the PPP would not play second fiddle to anybody adding that they should be ready for a keen contest in the December polls.

According to him, the PPP has positioned itself to be the kingmaker and would fight for every single vote in the December polls.

“We won’t play second fiddle to anybody…we will struggle for every vote in the December elections.”
