Nana Konadu has not officially joined us – NDP

The National Democratic Party says there is no official proof that former first Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has joined the party.

This comes against a report carried in the Daily Guide Newspaper that the former First Lady has joined the NDP.

The former first lady has been linked to the breakaway party from the ruling NDC and has also been tipped to lead the party in the December Polls.

But the Interim Secretary of the NDP Dr. Mamboah-Rockson in an interview with XYZ News said the former First lady has not joined the party yet.

“There was something on the newspaper today saying that she has confirmed but I have not had a letter to that confirmation so I cannot confirm that she has joined NDP”.

Dr. Mamboah-Rockson has also justified why the party extended the deadline for the closure of nominations.

According to him, the extension is to allow people interested in leading the party more time to make up their mind.
