Nana Konadu accepts flagbearership of NDP

Information gathered by RadioXYZonline.com indicates that former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings has accepted to be the flagbearer of the newly formed National Democratic Party.

A member of the Communications Team of the NDP, Veil Godsenor told Radio Ghana in an interview that Mrs Rawlings has finally accepted to lead the breakaway party in the upcoming December elections.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr Godsenor said the NDP will go to congress on October 6 to formally endorse the former First Lady.

On whether former President Rawlings’ perceived support for President John Mahama could affect the fortunes of the NDP, Mr Godsenor stated that Mr Rawlings will in no way support the NDC in the 2012 elections.
