Accra, Aug 4, – Mr Justice Daniel Francis Annan, Speaker of Parliament, today handed over as Acting President to Professor John Evans Atta Mills, the Vice-President, at the Castle, Osu. Mr Justice Annan became acting President when President Jerry John Rawlings left Accra on a tour of the Caribbean last Wednesday, July 30, while Prof Mills was visiting Zimbabwe and Malaysia on an investment drive. Prof Mills who returned last Thursday, July 31, briefed Justice Annan on the outcome of his trip while Justice Annan told him about what had happened during his tenure as acting President. They called for cooperation between the various arms of government to help ensure the development of the country.
