Police arrest two men for possessing narcotics

The Sefwi-Wiase police in the Sefwi-Wiawso Municipality, in the Western Region have arrested two persons for possessing narcotic drugs.

The two, Twum Barima and Prince Darkwa are currently assisting the police in its investigations.

The Regional Crime Officer, Mr. J. K. Abraham, confirmed this to the GNA in Sekondi on Friday.

He said the police intercepted the accused persons on an unlicensed motorbike at the Sefwi-Wiase check point.

When the police searched them 40 pieces of wrapped whitish substances suspected to be cocaine were retrieved from them.

The police said the suspects denied ownership and mentioned one Razak of Abelenpke in Accra as the owner.
