NDC Ireland Congratulate President John Dramani Mahama

The Rep of Ireland branch of the National Democratic Congress would like to extended our warmest congratulatory message to His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama and Mr. Amissah-Arthur and commend the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the Council of Elders of the party for their unanimous decision to endorse His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama as the party’s candidate for December general elections.

It is obvious that, Mr. Mahama and Mr. Amissah have both carved enviable niche for themselves, since they have both risen through the ranks as committed, vibrant and dynamic members of the party. The Vice President’s excellent performance during parliamentary vetting has already been noted by many Ghanaians and is a vindication of the President’s decision. We are also greatly encouraged by President Mahama’s call for all Ghanaians to remain united in our quest for a better Ghana.

We have also noted with great pride, the overwhelming positive response the President’s recent visits to parts of the country has generated, so we are encouraged by the seriousness of the party leadership and the party flag bearer by their determination to continue the good works of the late President, which is demonstrated by the president’s recent broadcast on plans ahead for the next few months.

It is our belief and fervent hope that Ghanaians will as a result elect John Mahama as the President of Ghana, during the 2012 polls, having in mind the good work he did together with the late President Mills.
