Junior Doctors’ strike is morally wrong – KATH

The Board Chairman of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Dr. Louis Bartels Charles des Bordes has described as morally wrong the ongoing strike by Junior Doctors at the Hospital.

The doctors have been rejecting new patients since they started their strike on Monday.

They have been attending to only old patients. Striking Consultants at the Hospital are also persisting with their industrial action.

They have threatened to intensify their strike by withdrawing emergency services if their demands are not met by Wednesday.

But Dr. Des Bordes says efforts are being intensified to deal with the issue.

He said it worries the board that the hospital seems to be notorious for strikes.

“The strike bothers us, especially I as a Senior Health professional, it is morally not right. Always Komfo Anokye, so we are trying to seek a long term solution to the problem”.
