JCC declares 30 days fasting towards peaceful elections

Jubilee Christian Centre (JCC) in Ho, on Sunday declared a 30-day fast to seek the favour of God towards peaceful elections in December.

The fasting is on the theme: “Taking your place as a priest, king and son on the land.”

Reverend James Noble Tulasi, Head Pastor of the Church, who made the declaration, said the fasting was necessary to prepare the congregation as “priests, kings and sons on the land” to intercede on behalf of the nation.

He said the institutions such as the Electoral Commission, political parties, security agencies and the media would be prayed for to carry out their work diligently and professionally.

Rev. Tulasi underscored the need for everyone to be peaceful and preach peace daily.

He said the Church was praying to God to “fortify the country, make it an iron pillar and a bronze wall” against evil spirits, poverty and underdevelopment.

Rev. Tulasi identified corruption as a “worm” eating up the country and charged the citizenry, especially politicians.
