Staff of Judicial Service agitate over subvention delay

Work at the Judicial Service could be disrupted as an ultimatum given by its staff for their subventions to be paid expires today.

The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana is protesting delays in the payment of subventions.

Members of the association say they have received subventions for only three out of the eight months owed them.

Chairman of the Association Francis Brakwah in an interview with XYZ News said his members are agitating over the delays in the payment of the subventions which could affect work.

“We have written to management to get to the government so that government releases the funds. After 31st August the Executive of the Judicial Service will meet if nothing positive comes out of it.

“Because now there is seeming agitation at the Judicial Service and we don’t want it to explode” Mr. Brakwah told XYZ News.
