Trinity Theological seminary to offer Doctorate Degrees

The Trinity Theological Seminary in Legon, will from next year begin programmes leading to the award of Doctor of Philosophy in Ministry and Theology respectively.

Reverend Dr Joseph Obiri Martey, President of the Seminary, announced this at the thanksgiving and ordination service to bring the fourth General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) to a close at Dzodze-Penyi on Sunday.

The event was under the theme “Strategic Evangelism for Sustainable Growth and Development”.

Rev. Martey said the Seminary was offering a golden opportunity to the clergy in Ghana and the rest of Africa to upgrade themselves without having to travel abroad to acquire those qualifications.

He said, today’s clergy needed to constantly upgrade themselves to be able to measure up to the complex challenges entailed in their calling.
