Columbus Woman Donates To Wamfie Health Centre

A Ghanaian woman residing in Columbus, Ohio ( U.S.A.), Susan Peprah Gyamfi has donated hospital equipment and a quantity of used clothing to the Wamfie Health Center, near Dormaa-Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region. These items, which included a wheel chair and clinical thermometers, would enhance quality health care delivery at the facility.

Auntie Suzy, who hails from the town, presented the items on behalf of her husband Nana Gyamfi Kumani, the chief of the Dormaa Community in Columbus, Ohio. She appealed to Ghanaians in the U.S. to support their native communities to ensure rapid development of the country. She said government alone cannot develop the country and called for collaborative efforts by privileged ones toward the growth of the society.

Suzie Gyamfi noted that the gesture formed part of her family’s contribution towards the development of their native community and called on all Wamfie residents overseas to help improve the living conditions of the people in the area as well. She also used the opportunity to urge the youth in Wamfie to take their education seriously and promised to liaise with her friends in the U.S.A. to further develop the area.
