Ashanti police takes delivery of 13 vehicles

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has taken delivery of 13 vehicles to enhance its operations.

The vehicles, which include nine saloon cars and four pick-ups, were made available by the government as part of effort at equipping the police with the necessary logistics.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Augustine Gyening, the Regional Commander, said they would be allocated to crime officers at the various police divisional and district offices.

He said the vehicles would significantly aid the fight to bring down crime and reminded the beneficiaries to take good care of them and ensure their regular servicing.

He said they were grateful to the government for the support. **
