GES extends condolence to Dr Mrs Naadu Mills

The management and staff of the Ghana Education Service (GES), have extended their condolences to Dr Mrs Ernestina Naadu Mills, the bereaved family and the people of Ghana, following the death of President John Atta Mills on July 24th.

A statement signed by Mr. Charles Parker-Allotey, Head of Public Relations at GES and copied to the Ghana News Agency said, the GES share in the grief that had engulfed the entire nation with the passing away of President John Evans Atta Mills.

It said: “President Mills was a great educationist, a peace loving and humble leader and Ghana, together with its entire citizenry were the beneficiaries of his wise leadership.

“Our school children will forever remember him, for his munificence in distributing free school uniform and textbooks to school children in deprived areas in Ghana, his vision in providing six (6) units classroom blocks to many Senior High Schools and his magnanimity in increasing the Capitation Grant from GH?3.0 to GH?4.50 per annum.”

It said, President Mills certainly left his foot-print on the sand of Ghana history and wishes President John Dramani Mahama abundant courage and strength of steel to steer the affairs of the state.**
