NPP Dissociates Itself From Betty Mould Iddrisu Jail Threat Pronouncements

The New Patriotic Party, NPP, has dissociated itself from the threat by its MP for Assin North, Kennedy Agyepong, that when the party wins the December General Elections it will jail Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu, because she is an alleged criminal.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Communications Director of the party, Nana Akomea, said, that is not the position of the NPP.

He said as it is expected of every government, an NPP government will not renege on punishing legally anybody found culpable.

Meanwhile, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mrs. Betty Mould Iddrisu, says she is considering a suit against the NPP MP for Assin North, Kennedy Agyepong, for calling her a criminal.

Mr. Agyepong on his Oman FM Station last Thursday, threatened that the NPP will jail her when the party wins the December, General Elections.

Mrs. Mould Iddrisu told Radio Ghana that she is expecting a copy of the tape to decide what to do as she will be meeting her lawyers Monday evening on the matter.**
