MMT extends service to New Abirem

Ms Mavis Ama Frimpong, Birim North District Chief Executive has announced that the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) has extended its services to the area.

She said consequently, MMT has made available three new buses that would ply New Abirem through Kade to Accra, New Abirem through Nkawkaw to Accra and New Abirem through Afosu, Obogu to Accra.

Inaugurating the buses at New Abirem on Wednesday, Ms Frimpong said the extension of MMT service to the area was part of the Better Ghana Agenda to improve transportation for socio-economic development.

She advised drivers of the buses to maintain the buses regularly to prolong their life span and to drive carefully to avoid lorry accidents.**
