Man, 23, remanded for fraud.

A 23 year-old farmer, Kwabena David, has been remanded in prison custody for defrauding a gold dealer of GH?8,500.

He pleaded not guilty and will re-appear on July 4.

Prosecuting, Detective Chief Inspector Oscar Amponsah told the court presided over by Mr. Samuel Obeng Diawuo that in December 2010, the accused approached the complainant and collected an amount of GH?8,500.00 from him under the pretext of supplying him with gold.
