Nestle Ghana assists orphaned twins

Nestle Ghana Limited has provided a lifeline to a set of twins whose mother died last September during delivery at the Saint Michael’s Hospital at Pramso in the Bosomtwe District, .

The company has offered to make available some of its food products to feed them for the next six months.

It has already presented two cartons of Lactogen and a carton of Celerac through the Department of Social Welfare towards that.

The support is in response to an appeal made on behalf of the orphaned twins by the District Social Welfare Officer, Madam Mary Gyesah.

She told the GNA that the mother of the children, Afua Badu, died just after she had given birth to them.

Their grandmother decided to take care of the kids but just after two months, she called at the department to request that they be sent to the Children’s Home because of the difficulty in feeding them.

She therefore contacted the company for assistance, which was graciously accepted.

She praised Nestle for the package.**
