First lady of Nigeria to visit Ghana

Nigeria’s First Lady, Stella Obansanjo arrives in Accra on Saturday for a week’s visit at the invitation of Mrs Theresa Kufuor.

A statement issued by the Nigeria High Commission in Accra on Friday said a 13-member entourage would accompany Mrs Obasanjo.

She would hold discussions with Mrs Kufuor on matters of mutual interest to both countries and the welfare of African women and children.

The two would examine progress made in the educational and healthcare needs of the handicapped in the two countries, discuss mentally challenged children, eradication of child labour and the case of abandoned babies in Africa.

Mrs Obasanjo would also visit historical and tourist attractions.
