Construction of Dr. Hilla Limann SHS progresses steadily

Work is progressing steadily on the Senior High School (SHS) being constructed by the government at Gwollu in the Sissala West District to be known as Dr. Hilla Limann SHS.

Hopefully, the school will admit its first batch of students in September, Mr. Moses Dramani Luri, the Sissala West District Chief Executive, said at the Annual General Meeting of the Wa Polytechnic Chapter of the Sissala Students Union in Wa at the weekend.

He said the school was in fulfillment of the promise made by President John Evans Atta Mills during his 2008 campaign.

Mr Luri said he had handed over a site for the construction of a district library complex at Gwollu.

He expressed the hope that when completed it would improve on the poor performance of students in the Basic School Certificate Examination (BECE).**
