NDC says it will retain Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam seat

Ajumako-Enyan-Essian District Chief Executive, Mr Peter Light Koomson, has said the government had done enough to retain the constituency seat in Election 2012.

Speaking to the GNA in an interview, he said the infrastructure the government had brought to the area was enough to make the National Democratic Congress (NDC) retain the seat.

Mr Koomson said 25 schools under trees had received permanent buildings, public senior high schools at Denkyira, Bisease, Abaasa and Mando had been provided with additional classroom blocks and two-storey dormitories, and that 42 communities had been connected to the national electricity grid.

Other projects included access roads to farming communities, construction and tarring of trunk roads and the provision of potable water for a number of communities.

He said the reconstruction of Ajumako-Essarkyir Junction road was in progress, as well as Bisease-Assin Manso road and the Bisease town roads.**
