NDC Old Guards Association satisfied with biometric voters’ registration

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Old Guards Association, has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the just ended biometric voters’ registration exercise, describing it as a huge success.

The exercise, the group said, marked the first major step towards ensuring the credibility of upcoming December polls.

A statement signed by its Chairman, Oheneba Asamoah Atuahene, in Kumasi, commended NDC agents, for their sacrifice and vigilance throughout the 40-day exercise.

It said: “Their commitment is a demonstration of their unadulterated belief in the ideals of the NDC as a political party determined to win elections on a level playing field.”

The statement asked NDC supporters to continue to work hard to assure a resounding electoral victory for the party.

It called on Ghanaians to protect peace by avoiding acts and pronouncements likely to trigger confusion and violence.**
