Adaklu Anyigbe commended for high turnout in registration excercise

Mrs Juliana Azumah-Mensah, Minister for Women and Children, has commended the people in the Adaklu Anyigbe District for their high turnout in the on-going biometric registration.

Mrs Azumah-Mensah who is also Member of Parliament of the area, made the commendation in a chat with the GNA after touring some registration centres in the District.

She said the country needed peace in the elections and appealed for tolerance, patience, decency and respect for the law.

She appealed to those who have not yet registered to do so before the exercise ends because the previous voter identity card would not be valid for voting in the coming elections.

Mr Michael Kobla Adzaho, District Chief Executive for the area who accompanied the Minister, called on the youth to obey the rules of the Electoral Commission for the success of the exercise.**
