THE COUNCIL for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) last Friday presented a cheque for ?10 million to the Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
Mrs. Odartey Laryea, Secretary of CSIR, presenting the cheque intimated that, it is in response to the appeal made by the centre.
Receiving the cheque, the Director of the centre, Prof. Frimpong Boateng, expressed his gratitude to the centre and assured the public that monies donated to the centre would be utilised judiciously.
He, therefore, appealed to the general public to continue to donate to the centre in order to save lives
