The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has invited Fiifi Boafo, the host of Oman FM’s flagship programme, “National Agenda”, on whose platform the Assin North Member of Parliament “declared war” and incited Ashantis against Ewes and Gas, for questioning.
The demure looking Morning Show host told Peace FM News and radioXYZonline in an interview that he will be at the CID headquarters on Monday to answer questions relating to the interview he granted his boss.
According to him, it was initially agreed that he honours the invitation today but both parties reached an agreement that the day was far spent, hence the rescheduling of the meeting date.
It is however not clear why he has been invited but speculations are that it might be in connection with the alleged inflammatory statements made by Kennedy Agyapong a week ago.
It would be recalled that beleaguered NPP firebrand, Kennedy Agyapong, was invited by the Police CID on Monday, April 16th, and incarcerated till Wednesday, April 18th, when he was hit with charges of treason.
The Chief Executive Officer of Kencity Media (operators of Oman FM, Net 2 TV and Ashh FM in Kumasi), was on Thursday, April 19th, granted bail by two different High Courts after his arrest.
