DCE calls for increase in internally generated fund

Mr. Bukari Zakari Anaba, the District Chief Executive for Tano South, has appealed to members of the Assembly to make efforts to increase the Internally Generated Fund (IGF).

“The Assembly’s revenue performance in the past has not been the best and we all have a stake in reversing the trend”, the said at the first ordinary meeting of the second session of the Assembly.

“We ought to consider bringing our efforts and experiences to bear on the District Assembly’s revenue mobilization drive in order to amass enough financial resources for the well-being of our people,” he added.

Mr Anaba mentioned some on-going projects as gravelling of two-kilometre Bechem town roads (DACF), construction and completion of one number three-unit staff quarters at Presbyterian Senior High School at Techimantia, as well as the construction and completion of one number 40 unit market stalls at Derma.

He said personnel of the newly established fire service in the district had performed well.**
