Christians urged to crave for spiritual benefits

Christians in the country today marked Palm Sunday with a call to pursue spiritual things instead of craving for material benefits.

Reverend Patrick Tofade, Pastor-in-charge of Aboadze Holyfire International Church, admonished Christians to seek heavenly things since it can never be corrupted with rust or dust .

He said, our Lord Jesus Christ passed through tribulation in order to bring salvation to all mankind and urged Christians to lead lives worthy of the Kingdoms calling by shunning things that does not glorify God.

Rev. Tofade entreated Christians to pray for peace in the upcoming General Elections to ensure free, fair and transparent elections in December.

He advised eligible voters to register at the ongoing biometric registration exercise and desist from activities that could disrupt the smooth conduct of the exercise.

Palm Sunday is celebrated at the first Sunday of April every year to commemorate the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem before his crucifixion.**
