The inability of people to provide their house numbers, names of their home town, has been identified as a major problem confronting the biometric voter registration exercise.
Mr Octavian Afrim, an Assistant Registration Officer of the Atimatim Clinic Centre, in the Kwabre West Constituency of Ashanti Region, told the Ghana Agency that public education is needed on the issue.
He said the initial technical challenges have been resolved and that all is going well.
So far the centre had issued 387 voter identification cards.
At the Atimatim Presbyterian Church, Mr Frank Kwasi Kloh, the Registration Officer said 288 people have been registered.
The atmosphere at all the centres was calm as the party agents of the two leading political parties watched things closely.**
